Terms of Service

Last updated: 15 May 2026

These terms apply to plumbing work performed by Plumberthon Pty Ltd (ACN 685 591 879, ABN 62 685 591 879, "Plumberthon", "we", "us", "our") for you ("you", "the customer"). They are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

1. Quotes

We will provide a fixed-price quote on-site before we begin work. The quote remains valid for 7 days from the date issued. If you accept the quote we proceed with the work at that price. If we discover unforeseen issues during the work (for example, a pipe behind a wall is in worse condition than expected) we will pause, inform you, and provide a varied quote — we will not continue with additional work until you approve the variation.

2. Callout fees

A callout fee applies to attendance for diagnosis and emergency response:

The callout fee is credited toward your invoice if you proceed with the quoted work. If you choose not to proceed, the callout fee remains payable as compensation for our time and diagnosis.

3. Payment

Payment is due on completion of the job unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept:

If payment is not received within 7 days of the invoice date, we reserve the right to charge interest at the Reserve Bank of Australia cash rate plus 4% per annum, and to pursue recovery through a debt collection agency or the NSW Local Court. You agree to pay reasonable recovery costs in this event.

4. Warranty

We warrant our workmanship as follows:

Warranty does not cover damage caused by: customer misuse, modifications by other parties, water hammer or pressure issues we have flagged and recommended remediation for which you declined, or events beyond our reasonable control (fire, flood, etc.).

5. Materials

Materials we supply are charged at our quoted price (typically cost plus a 30-50% margin to cover sourcing, transport, and stocking). Brand substitutions of equivalent quality may occur for parts not held in stock — we will inform you before proceeding. You may supply your own materials if you wish, but doing so excludes those materials from any manufacturer warranty we would otherwise lodge on your behalf, and may forfeit eligibility for any rebates (such as the federal STC rebate on heat pump installs).

6. Site access and conditions

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the work site. You confirm you are the owner of the property, or you are authorised by the owner, or you are acting on behalf of a tenant with the owner's consent for the work to be carried out. We may decline to commence work if access is unsafe, if hazardous materials (asbestos, mould) are present and unmanaged, or if the requested work falls outside the scope of our licence.

7. Cancellation

You may cancel a booked job at no charge with at least 4 hours notice (24 hours for emergency work). Cancellation within 4 hours of scheduled attendance may incur the relevant callout fee. We may reschedule a booked job at our discretion with reasonable notice if a prior emergency callout overruns; we will keep you informed.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law:

We maintain $20,000,000 public liability insurance and $5,000,000 professional indemnity insurance, plus the statutory Home Building Compensation Fund cover for qualifying residential work.

9. Disputes

If you have a complaint or concern about our work, contact us first at 0448 430 861 or hello@plumberthon.com.au and we will work in good faith to resolve it. If we cannot resolve the issue, you may escalate to:

10. Privacy

Our handling of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms applicable to your job are those in force on the date your job is booked. The current version is always published at plumberthon.com.au/terms.
